MICHAEL H. ANESTOS, ESQUIRE
Michael
H. Anestos is a partner in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C.
law firm of Anestos and Anestos, Chartered, where he specializes
in litigation matters involving estate planning, real estate
development and intellectual property.
He is an honors graduate
of JMU (1978), where he was the first sophomore in the school's
history to be elected Student Government President.
As such, Mr. Anestos was instrumental with former University
President Ronald Carrier in the successful effort to transform
then Madison
College into James Madison University.
Michael obtained his J.D.
degree with distinction from the American University, Washington
College of Law in 1984. He is admitted
to practice law before the federal courts of Maryland, Virginia
and
the District of Columbia, the state supreme courts of Maryland
and the District of Columbia, and the Supreme Court of the
United States.
Michael Anestos has been in private law practice for approximately
20 years.
He is a frequent author and recurrent speaker before
public and private organizations regarding cutting edge developments
in
litigation and
mediation.
